Why do I need a fume extractor?
Welding fume extractors are an essential tool to protect your worker’s health and fulfill the health and safety requirements set by the state/country. While a regular air ventilator/fan might be sufficient to push out the toxic air, it doesn’t filter it like a fume extractor does.
How often should I clean or maintain my fume extractor and the filter?
The frequency of filter maintenance depends on your welding intensity. For heavy use, clean or change filters every 2-3 months. For light use, do it every 3-5 months. You can consider self-cleaning filters to save time and effort.
