Case Study · Industrial Fume Extraction
Sharp Iron Group
Reilly Road Building
A Complete Air-Quality Overhaul for Heavy Fabrication
Sharp Iron Group's Reilly Road Building required a complete solution for welding fume extraction. The facility was operating without any dedicated fume removal system while supporting heavy welding activity. With a newly installed air conditioning system, controlling and evacuating welding fumes became a priority to maintain safe and comfortable working conditions.
From Zero Infrastructure
to Full Fume Control
No Existing Capture System
The facility was operating without any existing welding fume capture or filtration system, despite continuous heavy welding work. This created poor air quality conditions and increased the need for proper ventilation and contaminant control — all while integrating with a brand-new building setup.
MDB-8 with Diluter Pro
An MDB-8 with Diluter Pro system was installed to capture and manage welding fumes generated within the facility. The solution was selected to improve overall air quality and support a cleaner working environment for ongoing fabrication activities.

How the Project Unfolded
Handling the Unexpected
During installation, missing components were identified across a shipment of 32 pallets. Rather than accepting delays, we followed a structured resolution process to keep the project on track.
Full Inventory Audit
Every pallet — all 32 — was inspected and photographically documented to identify exactly which components were missing.
Operations Escalation
The issue was immediately escalated to our operations manager, who took ownership and coordinated a fast resolution.
Parts Shipped & Delivered
Replacement components were arranged and dispatched without delay, completing the installation on schedule.
The customer confirmed they are satisfied with the system performance and overall installation outcome.

Ready for Full
Operational Use
The installation was successfully completed and prepared for operational use. At the time of completion, the facility was operating with large open doors due to favorable weather conditions, which limited full system utilization.
The system is expected to operate at full efficiency once the HVAC system is fully in use and the facility remains closed during welding operations.
A follow-up visit on April 15, 2026 confirmed the customer is satisfied with the installation and overall outcome. The MDB-8 with Diluter Pro is fully commissioned and ready to deliver clean-air performance at scale.
